Terminal Expansion Concepts
Deputy Project Manager in the pursuit of the design contract for a $500 million renovation of the main terminal at Portland International Airport. Although the Port Authority ultimately selected another design firm, design team members in Portland, Seattle, and Hong Kong worked closely together to develop design concepts including planning diagrams, drawings, and both computer and physical models. The primary challenge was to develop a structural system that would allow construction of the new terminal facility while allowing the existing building to remain in operation throughout construction.
Project Role: Deputy Project Manager, Terminal Planner/Designer
